General Classroom Happenings
So what does this mean??
Well, I want our students to be defined by more than just their academic excellence. I have become stricter with students remaining focused in class, working diligently to finish in a timely manner and produce their best work, and above all, treat others with kindness, respect, and love as God's children.
How YOU can help
You all already do a fantastic job at home and you can extend what we do in the classroom beyond our school walls as well.
Ask your child what their character development goal is for the week.
Ask how they did during the day. Did they go up on our hero board? Why or why not? What could they have done better? What should they continue to do?
Check ClassDojo. I would not suggest using it as a means of punishment and rewards but rather as a conversation starter with your child to see what is going on in the classroom.
Long story short, I am incredibly proud of how our students have grown academically, emotionally and spiritually. As the year winds down, I don't want to plateau but rather finish strong with your help!
Blessings Always,
Miss, Gonzalez
A preview to the coming week
TOMORROW 4/8 you child is welcome to show their SF Giants pride wear ORANGE and BLACK in honor of Giant’s Opening Day.
Friday 4/11 PTG is putting on Movie Night in the Old Saint Mary’s Auditorium at 6pm. We will have a double feature, rumor has it that Frozen and Despicable Me 2 are some of the contenders. There will be wii and xbox games in between and popcorn, snacks and refreshments available. Best part, this event is completely free! I look forward to see all of you there!
REPORT CARDS are being distributed this week. Please ensure that you check your child’s backpack this Thursday. Mr. Formalejo, Mrs. Fiebelkorn and myself are available if you have any questions or comments.
