Reading
This week our class will be focusing on what makes parts of the world different from one another. Why are there mountains in some places and deserts in other places?
Here are some activities that you can do with your child to help reinforce the skills we’ll be practicing.
Word Workout
- Words to Know: compound words You and your child will define each vocabulary word. Then you’ll make up a question using each word, and your child will make up an answer using that list word.
- Spelling/Phonics: silent letters wr, kn, gn, mb, sc You will say each list word, and your child will spell it and tell you which letter is silent. This week’s words contain the silent letters in words spelled with wr, kn, gn, mb, and sc.
