Vol 2.9: Happy New Year and Welcome Back!

Welcome to the New Year!

Grewenow. We are Great; we are Growing!

Mr. Sellenheim's Greeting

I hope that all of our families had a wonderful holiday and time with their children at home. We hope that 2019 starts on the right foot and treats you right! These next 6 weeks are some of the best days of learning for the entire school year. Classroom routines are established, everyone is feeling refreshed, and teachers are in some of the heart of the different curriculum.

Please make every effort to help your child(ren) start each day off right by arriving on time. If you don't have time for breakfast at home, we serve breakfast at school from 6:55- 7:25 every day. A full stomach and on time start set the tone for an amazing day of learning. If there is anything we can do to help your child (and your family) find success at school, please don't hesitate to reach out to your child's teacher or the office at 262-359-6362.

Here's to outstanding achievements in 2019!

Student Transfers

Parent/guardian initiated transfers, are ONLY be accepted January 1st-21st for students entering grades 1-12. Students going into 4K and K have until April to submit their requests. Any transfers outside of are initiated by Education Support Center or schools via the administrative transfer request process.

Attending school on time and on a consistent basis is a crucial part of your child's academic success. As such, we would like to go over our KUSD attendance policy to ensure that everyone is informed and that we are all doing our best in having our students here, everyday and on time.

A child cannot be excused more than ten (10) days in a full school year. As per Wisconsin State Statutes, all absences beyond ten (10) days would be marked unexcused and treated accordingly. Any days missed after the 10 days, no matter at what point during the school year, will need a medical excuse for each day they missed after that 10th day. If a medical note is not received, the days are marked unexcused or truant.
