Coffee Fellowship
Coffee and ice water is available every Sunday morning between the 8, 9:15 and 10:45am worship services in the breezeway. Our hope is to provide an opportunity for attendees of all services to get to know one another. The first Sunday of each month donuts will be served as part of Celebration Sundays.
Gratitude Dinner & Activities
Join us on Wednesday, November 17 for an evening of gratitude over the blessings we have received this year! REGISTER FOR A FREE DINNER made with love, by God's Stewards: Ham, Mashed Potatoes, Gravy, Cranberry Sauce, Green Beans, Hot Rolls and of course Thanksgiving Pies. Dinner is served from 5:30-6:15pm. From 6:15-7pm we will offer Chancel Choir rehearsal in the sanctuary (lasts until 8pm), an adult Bible Study on Gratitude in Souers Hall, life group for Parents of Children and Youth in Fireside Room South, nursery for ages birth-3, and Go Kids for pre-K to 5th grade.
2021 Annual Meeting
The annual meeting for the church will be on Sunday, November 21, at 11:45am in Souers Hall. We are installing new deacons, voting on bylaw changes, the 2022 budget and new officers. The meeting is open to everyone, but only church members may vote. Your attendance is important in the planning for the future of our church, and a quorum of the congregation is needed. The 2021 Annual Report was emailed to members. Copies are available in the sanctuary and church office if needed.
Annual Food Drive
The Missions Committee will sponsor our Annual Food Drive for St. Mary's Food Bank through November 24. St. Mary's goal is to relieve hunger throughout the State of Arizona, distributing food to smaller food banks, including the Agua Fria Food Bank in Avondale. One in three children in Arizona live at the poverty level. St. Mary's also funds school lunch programs and after school programs, to make sure our children are well fed. Please leave your nonperishable food items in the Sanctuary. The offering from our Thanksgiving Eve Service will be designated to St. Mary's.
Thanksgiving Eve Worship Service
We invite you to attend the Thanksgiving Eve service at 6:30pm, Wednesday, November 24, in the sanctuary. A monetary offering will be taken and given to St. Mary’s Food Bank and any non-perishable food donations will be given to St. Mary’s Food Bank as well.
Hanging of the Greens
Join us on Saturday, November 27, from 9am-noon as we decorate the sanctuary, Souers Hall and campus for Advent and Christmas. This is always a great time, and we will have plenty of decorating for children to do, as well. See you (and your family) there!
Orpheus Male Chorus on December 5
The Orpheus Male Chorus of Phoenix will resume live performances this fall, taking measures to do so as safely as we can. After a year of only performing virtually, this will be a wonderful opportunity to come re-experience Orpheus and enjoy the unique sounds of the chorus. Loyal audience members will tell you, and even “first-timers” will agree, attending an Orpheus performance is not just a choral concert, it is an emotional music experience. Our singers hear from audience members, sometimes in tears of happiness, describing the energy, passion and commitment to excellence. During our holiday concerts, more than one of our patrons has remarked that our music “makes their Christmas” or helps get them into the spirit of the season. Our “Holidays with Orpheus” concert will feature traditional and contemporary holiday songs along with our audience sing-along featuring everyone’s favorite Christmas carols.

Angel Tree for Homeless Youth
Wouldn’t it be wonderful to provide a Christmas gift to a homeless youth? This holiday season The Church at Litchfield Park is supporting Homeless Youth Connection’s "Holiday for Teens" program. We will have a Christmas Tree in the breezeway between services November 21-December 12. The process is easy:
- Select an Angel from the tree. This Angel will provide you with the first name, gender, size.
- Leave your name and telephone number on the signup sheet.
- Return your gifts on or before December 12. Gifts may be returned to the breezeway between Sunday services or to the church office Monday-Thursday from 9am-4pm.
The teens also love to receive gift cards. Notes and holiday cards are always welcome. Questions? Stop by the table in the breezeway.
Christmas Poinsettias
Would you like to remember a loved one, honor someone, or simply spread the spirit of Christmas with a poinsettia? We will be accepting poinsettia plants (6” pots, please, any color) in the church office during regular hours (9am-4pm) Monday-Wednesday, December 13-15. The poinsettias will be displayed in the sanctuary and Souers Hall December 19-26 with the honoree's names listed in the bulletin on December 19.
