Principals Message
Dear BCES Families,
As we welcome Autumn and all of the beauty and change this season provides, we also look forward to a time of connection, reflection and celebration with our school stakeholders. The month of October provides us with two exciting school and community engagement events.
- During the days of October 12th through 14th, Ballenger Creek will be offering Parent-Teacher conferences. These will occur by choice of parent sign up for an in person OR virtual/telephone conference.
- Our PTA is also looking forward to their first event of the season! The upcoming Fall Festival on Saturday, October 15th will provide our community the opportunity to celebrate the season together and lots of fun for the kiddos.
These opportunities promote and foster strong home-school partnership and promote the collective vision for our school and the community we serve. This partnership provides a greater feeling of inclusion and positivity to ensure Ballenger Creek Elementary is a place where everyone has value and belongs.
Yours in Education,
Megan Stein
Principal

Students who have or use a weapon on school property will be suspended from school, and the police will be notified of the incident. A weapon is any object designed to harm another physically or an object which is used in a way that can physically harm another. Portable Electronic Devices
Portable electronic communication devices (cell phones, cellular watches) are devices that emit an audible signal, vibrate, display a message or visual, or otherwise summons or deliver a communication on behalf of the possessor. Elementary School Students possession and use of electronic devices on school property and at school sponsored events on and off campus is a privilege, not a right. Students who bring portable electronic communication devices (cell phones, cellular watches) to school should keep them off and in their backpack during instruction times.
Arrival and Dismissal Reminders
A few details we'd like to highlight include:
- Arrival for the school day begins at 8:30 AM and runs through 9:00 AM. No students should be on school premises without supervision prior to 8:30 AM.
- Walkers should only access the school from each sidewalk on the sides and back of the school building. Students should NOT be dropped off in the arrival window to the parking lot or from the street to walk across car rider traffic.
- It is recommended young children who walk to school or utilize a bus stop are accompanied by an adult to support a safe transition. Parents are responsible for the safety and conduct of their children from the time they leave home until they board the school bus or enter school property and from the time they leave the school bus or exit school property at the end of the day.
- Temporary dismissal changes should be made to the school prior to 3:00 PM.
