2017-18 Building Goals
2. During the 2017-18 school year we will develop and utilize effective methods of assessment, student reflection, and feedback.
3. During the 2017-18 school year 100% of departments / courses will complete work on essential standards, learning targets, and pacing.
Shout Outs and Celebrations
- Kimbo, Turp, Hali, and Carolyn for their work on leveled assessments and their willingness to share it at our next SBA/R meeting. Great work.
- The staff for their thoughtful work and feedback on Monday at PD.
- Social Studies, Language Arts and International Language, Math, and Science for rich discussions around SBA/R. Thanks for your honesty and willingness to examine what could be.
- The Science Department for their work to prepare our students for the ACT.
- Tack for providing the results of the practice test to help us drive our decisions for improvement.
- Chad for finding a Polycom unit that we can use to enhance learning by bringing outside experiences into our school (i.e. the live open heart surgery for Tacks classes).
- Tim and Jen for giving the go-ahead to make the purchase of the Polycom.
- Jason for his day-to-day work with our students and staff. Your support is genuine and critically important to our school. Great job.
- Jeff, Tracy and Chris for walking our students through the course registration process and the teachers who allow them time to present the information to their classes.
- Glenn and the mentors for helping our new employees with their transition.
- Everyone who is demonstrating the courage to look at their practices and find ways to improve. It's a scary process - we're doing great!
