A Word from Your Friendly Neighborhood Principal. . .
Parents,
Today marks the final day of our inclusive schools week celebrations! Thank you for showing your support by having your child participate in the fun spirit days! Today I had the distinct pleasure of attending our Adaptive PE Indoor Field Day event over at Woodgrove HS. This event is organized by Mr. Greg Wolfe, our adaptive PE teacher. Mr. Wolfe's job is to provide a specialized "adaptive" physical education program to our students with autism. He has worked collaboratively with our autism teachers and team for more than 10 years. The beauty of today's event is that it brings all of the special education self-contained classes from the Woodgrove and Loudoun Valley clusters together for this special event. It was exciting to see many of our RHES alumni who are WHS students volunteering their time to support, encourage, and empower our students with special needs. I truly could not have been prouder of our students and staff.
Join me in saying a huge "THANK YOU" to our teachers and staff who serve our students with disabilities. They do so with love, consistency, patience, and professionalism. I also want to commend the parents of our amazing students who partner with us to meet the diverse and ever changing needs of the children. They are true heroes!
Sincerely,
Andrew Davis - Principal
November Golden Bear Award Winners!
We are excited to announce our ROUND HILL GOLDEN BEARS for the month of NOVEMBER!
Each month, a student from every classroom is nominated to receive this award. All students chosen for this award model our 3 R’s at Round Hill Elementary - they are Respectful, Responsible and Ready to learn each and every day!
To celebrate our Round Hill Golden Bears, each student nominated is announced on our Morning News Show the first Wednesday of each month. In addition, they will receive a certificate that includes the reasons why their teacher chose them for this award along with a golden bear paw charm. Please join me in Congratulating Our NOVEMBER Round Hill Golden Bears!
Congratulations to the EDISON HOUSE!
Giving Tree - THANK YOU!
Thank you for supporting this year's Giving Tree! It was heartwarming to see the joy and excitement on the faces of the children as they delivered their giving tree gifts to the front foyer! A special thanks to Joey Fuller, our Parent Liaison, for her dedication, care, and service to this wonderful community, especially for our families in need of some assistance.
