School Reminders:
-Doors open at 8am.
-Tardy bell rings at 8:15am.
-Dismissal is at 3:55pm.
-All students will receive free breakfast in their classroom and lunch in the cafeteria. Please see menus and cafeteria information below.
-Lunch deliveries: lunch deliveries are not allowed for students. Please pack your child's lunch and send with them to school.
-Birthday celebrations: we love to celebrate birthdays! Store bought (and sealed) cupcakes are allowed and will be taken to the classroom the last 40 minutes of the day. Balloons and/or gifts will stay in the front office and be given to the student at the end of the day before dismissal.
Arrival and Dismissal Procedures
We have 4 main areas for arrival and dismissal:
1. WALKERS: If you are walking to the school, please enter the building at 10th and Winnie Street. Please walk where the crossing guard is--there will be a lot of traffic. To use this door, you must walk your child to the door--please do not just drop them off in the middle of the street. You can use the car rider line to let them out of your car.
2. CAR RIDERS: Car riders will drive up 10th Street. We will have staff members there opening the doors for the students. Please stay in one lane, without passing other cars.
3. BUS RIDERS: Students riding the bus will be dropped off and picked up on Ball Street with staff supervision.
4. AFTER SCHOOL PROGRAM: students in the after school program will be taken to the cafeteria for their after school snack.
Please remember not to block any driveways and not to stop in the middle of a street to let your child out. We will have officers helping with arrival the next couple of days.
CALENDAR OF EVENTS
August 28: Tor Kids & Texas ACE before and after school programs begin
August 30: Wear your college, career, or military shirt.
September 1: Wear your Ball High or Rosenberg spirit shirt.
September 2: Free build a project at Home Depot from 9am-noon
Bus information
To find out your bus stop and what times students will be picked in the morning and dropped off in the afternoon, you need to download the Stop Finder app. All of that information is in the app with your child's information!
Need a bus?
Make sure your student can ride the bus the first week of school by completing transportation registration by Aug. 9!
Visit https://bit.ly/3DFCK3x and click on “School Bus Transportation for 2023-2024 School Year.” Families should complete one application for EACH student needing transportation to and from school.

Capturing Kids Hearts
We are a Capturing Kids Hearts campus!
Each month, we will upload newsletters for parents in english and spanish so you can see what character traits we are working on.
New pantry coming to Rosenberg!
Thanks to the Galveston Education Foundation and the FACE (Family and Community Engagement) Department, we will be receiving food, clothing and toiletries throughout the year to help support our families. They have already delivered their first boxes to Rosenberg! Please reach out to Ms. Jackson, our counselor, if you need assistance!
