Time & Talent Ops!
Fall Workday TOMORROW - If mums, pumpkins, and yard work are your thing, join us for a fall campus workday! We have several areas around the school that need a spruce up. Sign up to help tidy and plant, or sign up to bring items to help make CSSE lovely for the fall! Workday will begin at 9am on Saturday, Oct. 22nd.
Volunteer in the Lunchroom - We need a few volunteers to cover a shift in the lunchroom once a week on Fridays. Volunteer will help pass out lunches, monitor students, and clean tables between lunch periods. See available slots and sign up!
School Library Volunteer - There are also several opportunities to earn Time & Talent by helping with library tasks. Many tasks are flexible, and some can be done at home! Sign up if interested, and Mrs. Hattaway will contact you when an opportunity arises that may interest you.
Coach a CSSE Basketball Team - Our basketball season is starting up soon, and we need coaches! Please fill out the coaching form if you are interested in coaching or assisting with a team. If you do not yet have Safe Environment updated for this school year, please fill out the SE google form, and Jen Goodrich will get back to you with instructions.
Catechesis of the Good Shepherd - We need volunteers for Catechesis of the Good Shepherd (CGS)! In order to provide this beautiful Montessori-based approach to religious education, we need volunteers to assist teachers in the Atrium (you do not need to be a trained catechist) and to help prepare materials for the children. Materials making will take place at 9:30am on the following Fridays in the Bride's Room of the Church: Oct. 28, Nov. 18, Dec 16 and into the second semester. Please contact Christie Ardoin if you can help in either capacity or for more information: goodshepherd@steugenes.org.

Trunk or Treat!
Trunk or Treat is next Friday, October 28th from 6-8pm! Park in the north lot, and walk around to the back. You can still sign up to host a trunk! Please note, Aftercare will close at 5pm on the 28th.
The 8th grade class will also be selling concessions (hot dogs, nachos, Frito chili pie, soft pretzels, drinks, and dessert). If you missed your chance to order CSSE blankets, decals, and socks, they will have some available at Trunk or Treat as well. Please bring cash, or 8th grade can accept Venmo.

News on Repeat
Still Need Safe Environment? We still have a lot of people wanting to volunteer who have not completed Safe Environment. ALL ARCHDIOCESAN/PARISH/SCHOOL EMPLOYEES & ADULT VOLUNTEERS who have contact with minors or vulnerable adults must complete the new online Safe & Sacred Training (2020) including a background check. Until all steps have been completed in the online training portal, employees and volunteers may not serve at the parish/school or organization. Please complete this google form to send in your name and email address to Jennifer Goodrich so that she can send you information to begin the process! You must have updated SE if you plan on driving on field trips, being a homeroom parent, or coaching a team, etc.
