EMPLOYEE ASSISTANCE PROGRAM
Everyone experiences personal problems occasionally. The EAP is here to help address and resolve those issues before professional obligations and overall quality of life are disrupted.
To demonstrate its commitment to reducing employee stress, turnover and health care costs, the Prince George’s County Board of Education will continue to provide an Employee Assistance Program (EAP) for all full-time employees. This benefit is a part of an expanded Employee Wellness Program and is provided under contract by INOVA Health System.
PGCPS employees and their household family members can receive:
- up to four (4) free and confidential counseling sessions for personal and work-related concerns including, but not limited to crisis, family and parenting issues, stress and anxiety, emotional wellbeing, marital and relationship concerns, substance abuse, grief and loss, communication issues, anger management, and coworker conflict.
- free, expert consultation regarding legal and financial matters as well as childcare and eldercare referral services, and many more benefits.
- Online Resource Library - available 24 hours a day/7 days a week
