Orchard Hill Friday Update
Friday, February 9, 2024
From Mr. Tortora
We are so excited to celebrate KINDNESS WEEK next week! As part of our school’s commitment to bullying prevention and kindness week, we are excited to announce that Orchard Hill will participate in The Great Kindness Challenge this year by having students complete a Random Acts of Kindness Board and other Kindness Activities.
Our school is proudly participating in this proactive, positive bullying prevention initiative and we are asking for your support in making this a meaningful week.
The Great Kindness Challenge will run from February 12-19. Students will receive a Random Acts of Kindness board with 20 kind deeds. Please encourage your child to complete as many acts of kindness as possible so we can show the world that kindness matters!
Boards will be distributed on Monday, February 12th and should be returned to classroom teachers by Tuesday, February 20th, so that we can tally how many fantastic acts of kindness we completed in helping to make our community and the world a more peaceful place!
Orchard Hill will have a Kindness Spirit Week to celebrate our Challenge. Spirit Days and Kindness activities are listed below.
To all of our families celebrating Chinese New Year this weekend, Happy New Year!
Mike
