Happy Valentines Day

This week several of our high school classes have been discussing the love languages outlined by Gary Chapman in his best-selling book. These are the basic ways that we show love to each other and recognize love from those around us:

  • words of affirmation
  • acts of service
  • receiving gifts
  • quality time
  • physical touch

This topic has led our students to some interesting discussions about how their genuine concern and care for each other is missed due to them speaking different languages. Our teachers have also had opportunity to emphasize showing biblical love to others even when it is in a way that is uncomfortable for us.

This Valentines Day, amid the candy, flowers, and extravagance, I hope that we will take time to show the love of Christ to those around us in a way that they will comprehend.

S. Jeff Postlewaite, Head of School

For the words of affirmation people...

I appreciate your reading this. It means a lot to me that you are invested in our school enough to stay informed.
