Our school is forming its councils for the school year and parent members are needed! Please attend the Zoom this Thursday at 3:30 if you are interested in serving on one of the following councils: SSC, LSLC, or ELAC. Even if you missed the orientation last week, it's not too late! The meeting will begin with a brief introduction of the councils before the parent reps are nominated and elected. Please complete the self-nomination form and send it to Jessica.soto@lausd.net by tomorrow if you are interested in representing parents in the decision making process at Enadia.

This school year LAUSD is requiring all schools to hold mandatory monthly safety trainings on a variety of topics for all staff members and parents. Some of the trainings are also required of elementary children. Today several parents joined me in the Child Sexual Grooming Awareness Training. This training was not required for elementary students. Please review the letter attached to the Blackboard Connect email with the titles of the upcoming trainings. Parents have the right to review the content of the student trainings prior to the student training. However, parents cannot opt their children out of the trainings. The first student training is "Suicide Awareness and Prevention" on Monday, 10/9 at 8am. The presentation should be available soon.
