MAP Testing
Next week, students in 1st-5th Grade will be given the Measures of Academic Progress (MAP) online assessment in the areas of Reading and Math. Below is information about this assessment. We will not only see where students are at with their skills but also see how much growth they have made this school year. Students have as much time as they need to complete the test.
9/12 (Reading): 3rd-5th
9/13 (Reading): 1st and 2nd
9/14 (Math): 3rd-5th
9/15(Math): 1st and 2nd
**Kindergarten will begin these assessments in January.
If a student is absent on their testing day, they will make up the test when they return.
Parent Nights (1st-5th Grade)
We invite families to attend Parent Night in September. Parent Night is a way to hear about new things going on in our school and find out what yoru child will experience in their classrooms this year. Because we have such a large community in our building, we need to seperate this into two nights:
9/13- 1st, 2nd, and 3rd Grade
9/15- 4th and 5th Grade
Each night starts at 5:30PM. Presentations will begin right at 5:30, so please come 10-15minutes ahead of time so you are ready right at 5:30. Parent Night typically lasts about an hour.
We understand that you might have multiple students at the same time. Do you best to divide an conquer. If you are unable to make the event, just try to connect with the teacher ahead of time.
Math Club/ Game Club (2nd/3rd Grade)
The Purpose of Math Club/Game Club is to develop students' level of Math skills such as fact fluency and knowledge of Math thinking skills. This will be accomplished by using games, activities, and mock competitions. Students will cooperatively work to complete Logic and Math Puzzles.

COVID Updates
We continue to see an increase of students and staff testing positive for COVID over the last week. When staff are out for five days, we will bring in a substitute teacher to cover the classroom for their days out to quarantine. Please note that if a individual does test positive for COVID:
- The individual must remain home for 5 days. Day 0 is the day one tests positive.
- We highly encourage mask wearing on days 6-10
We can do COVID testing in our nurses's office if you would like. Just arrange a time to come in with our nurses.
Continue to practice good hygiene which includes covering your face with coughing and sneezing, and washing your hands
Picture Make-Ups
If you missed taking pictures on Tuesday Night or maybe want a retake, we will have make-ups on October 12th.
