PLEASANT UNION ODYSSEY OF THE MIND TEAM QUALIFIES FOR "WORLDS"
PUE OOM Team Qualifies for the World Competition
Pleasant Union Odyssey of the Mind Team 1 has qualified for Odyssey of the Mind "Worlds" at Michigan State University in May. Three Odyssey of the Mind (OOM) Teams competed on Saturday at the state competition at East Carolina University. Congratulations to all of the teams and thanks to the following students and coaches for a job well done. More information will be sent out in the near future for how we can support our students for the international competition beginning May 22-25.

Board Advisory Meeting (BAC) Monday, April 8:
Senior Budget Director Terri Kimzey will be speaking for a part of the meeting on the legislative impact to our funding. Roxie Cash, our regions Board of Education representative will also speak to what the board is doing and get some input from you on the 2019/20 proposed budget submitted to the Board of Education at the last Board Meeting.

Single Subject Acceleration
Students meeting qualifying criteria in grades K‐7 can take advanced academic content in mathematics or English Language Arts through Single Subject Acceleration (SSA). This ensures opportunities for appropriate levels of academic challenge.
The nomination and testing windows for SSA are as follows:
- Year-Round Track 1 Calendar Schools - 4/15-4/29/2019 Testing 5/7-5/13/2019
- Year-Round Track 2 Calendar Schools - 4/16-4/30/2019 Testing 5/8-6/7/2019
- Year-Round Tracks 3 and 4 Calendar Schools - 5/10-5/23/2019 Testing 6/3-6/7/2019
