About me!
- I'm a graduate of Hays CISD.
- I grew up in Buda TX
- Attended ACC and Graduated from Texas State University
- Received my Bachelors in Family and Consumer Sciences
- This is my 12th year teaching, my 11th at Lehman
- It is my hope that all students learn to love cooking & gain skills they will use for a lifetime.
- I currently attend ACC to finish my Pastry Arts Degree.
General Class Information
Course Objectives
In this lab based class students will gain the necessary knowledge and skills to make accurate and healthy food decisions. Develop basic cooking vocabulary, food preparation skills and techniques that they will use for a lifetime. We will prepare students for a career in the food service industry.
Participation
All students are expected to participate in all aspects of the class both in the Classroom and in the Lab (cooking/serving/cleaning, etc.) Much of your lab grade will depend upon your participation! Students are assigned a duty for each and every lab, students must complete all assigned tasks for that job to receive credit.
