Fox Family Focus
Week of October 10, 2021
Greetings Fox Families!
Greetings Fox Families! This is Anita Roane, your principal with this week’s announcements and reminders. I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend!
Don’t forget we have the PTA fun challenge going on! The top 3 classes win den points for each student and the teacher. Right now we have ties for all 3 places. Ms. Franke and Mrs. Sandberg are tied for 3rd place, Mrs. Toimil and Mrs. Thompson are tied for 2nd place and Mrs. Walton, Ms. Taylor, and Ms. Fox are tied for 1st place. I wonder who will take the lead. The challenge ends Oct. 15th. Remember joining the PTA comes with no obligation. You can choose your level of participation. Plus, there are benefits of free entry into some of the school’s future events.
Speaking of the PTA, they have planned a fundraising Meal Night for Tuesday, October 19 from 4-8 pm at IHOP in Gordonsville. The address is 137 Wood Ridge Terrace, Zion Crossroads, VA 22942. Families can bring the flyer to IHOP or let their server know they are with Moss-Nuckols.
Don’t forget TeamLCPS is showing extra acts of kindness throughout the month of October. October 12th-15th is the week for Coins for Kindness. A flyer was sent home last week but here is a reminder of what we are doing. Moss-Nuckols chose to help Pony Partners. Pony Partners is a special program designed to enhance the lives of children and families through interaction with miniature horses. We are fortunate to have them come to M-NES. Our Autism and ECSE classes enjoy bi-weekly visits with the ponies.
Have you ever wanted to see a fire truck up close? If you said yes, then join us on our next asynchronous learning day, Wednesday, October 20th as we spread kindness by visiting our local fire departments and making our community beautiful! We will be planting flowers and washing fire trucks at our local fire stations from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. Please wear your Kindness t-shirt to the event. Feel free to bring your own sponge, flowers, pumpkins, or plants to help decorate and clean! Our foxes will be at the Zion Crossroads Volunteer Fire Department located at 409 Poindexter Rd Louisa, VA 23093.
