A Note from the Principal
Enclosed in today’s communication folder you will find your child’s MAP Student Progress Report which includes results from the winter testing window. MAP tests measure growth over time, provide information used to target individualized instruction, and are aligned to state standards. This Quick Reference sheet explains different parts of the progress report. Questions about MAP scores can be directed to your child's teacher.
We received some great news last week that we were awarded a Rooted in Faith grant for $10,000! We wrote the grant to provide funding to install rolling shades in additional classrooms. We have slowly started the process of replacing the old vertical blinds, many of which were missing or broken. The rolling shades serve a two-fold purpose. First, they provide a barrier to block visibility from the outside should there be a threat to the safety of our students. They will also help to maintain more comfortable temperatures in the classrooms blocking the sun and heat allowing the rooms to be cooler in warmer months but also keeping warm air in during colder months. With this grant, we will be able to install new rolling shades in 4-5 more classrooms. Thank you to Mrs. Klepcyk for taking the lead on writing this grant!
Peace and blessings,
