Winter Wonderland at MCDS

Celebrating the Season Together, December 23, 2015

Breakfast with Family, Friends and Santa

We started our day-long celebration off with a morning sing-along and breakfast. Ivy, Sage and Willow students entertained an audience filled with family and friends. grandmas and grandpas, parents, uncles, and cousins joined us in celebrating the season with holiday songs. Mrs. Suh lead the entire group in singing holiday classics. Afterwards, we had a surprise visit by Santa and one of his elves. The children enjoyed getting candy canes and taking pictures with them.

Winter Wonderland Afternoon: Ho, Ho, Ho and Happy Holidays!

Children eagerly arrived in the gymnasium to continue their celebrations. The Mulberry students presented, "The Snowmen at Night" to an audience of students and teachers. As Mrs. Monteleone read the book, the Mulberry students, dressed in snowman attire, acted out the story. Students were then invited to create holiday wreaths, pin the nose on the snowman, toss marshmallows in a hot chocolate board game, color holiday pictures and have a snowball toss.

Afterwards, the children enjoyed snacks made by each of our classroom students and teachers. What an amazing day!

Montessori Country Day School Families

Families at MCDS are an integral part of our school community and they actively create and promote the school culture of collaboration and celebration. We thank each and every one of them for their support and their reflections of appreciation.

Thank you to Geeta Telang and her marvelous group of class parents for bringing cheer to each team of teachers and the support staff. The individualized caroling and sharing of good cheer and love meant so much to us all. We were touched by your generosity and sincere gratitude.

To our MCDS Parents: As parent ambassadors and leaders, you rallied the parent community to share in your merriment. Your actions and commitment are what makes us such a strong school community.

We look forward to welcoming 2016 together when we return from our winter break on Monday, January 4, 2016.
