Because You Matter
November 2022
SBMH extended to the YMCA after school care program!
Elementary Schools: I like to play games with my family CONTEST!
I Like to Play Games with My Family CONTEST!
(For kids in grades K-5)
Directions: Please hand out the lined paper with a drawing box to any and all students. Please have them draw a picture and write a story about playing board games or puzzles with their family. All entries are optional to submit. I will draw up to 15 winners from each school! Each winner will get to pick a game to take home. Make sure the student’s name, grade, and school are written on their submission. Send all entries to Jamie Ganske at PSC by November 11th. I will send out games the week of November 14th so they can have them in time to play with their families over Thanksgiving break. Please take a picture of the winners and send the pictures to Jamie Ganske at ganskejl@chipfalls.org.
WHY? Research shows that play can help kids build trust, build a sense of self-esteem, teach positive social skills, regulate emotions, encourage positive communication, process trauma, and reduce anxiety. Board games foster a face-to-face interaction needed to connect deeply with each other and to develop traits of strong families.
How do the kids get the prizes? Jamie will send out some options of dates and times during the week of November 14th when she can come to your building. I will need you to call the winners down for them to pick their prize and take a group photo while I am there. (You will need to let me know if I can not share a picture of anyone)

What is a Professional Coach?
As a professional striving to be your BEST, you may seek someone at times to help you achieve a goal or improve your performance. A coach is there to help with professional development in areas such as organizational skills, leadership development, communication skills, and work/life balance. Important questions to ask yourself as you start the coaching process are: "What do I want to get out of this? What abilities and skill sets do I want to discover and master? How do I want to show up differently so I am my BEST?
A BESTology Professional Coach can also help you navigate setting up EAP resources.
