The Early Years Of Albert
Albert Einstein was born on March 14,1879 in Ulm, Germany in a middle class Jewish family.About six weeks later his family moved to Munich, Germany . He began school there. Albert wasn't very bright at his school work but he always loved to ask questions! Matter of fact he always got in trouble by his teachers for asking too many questions.
Early Education
As a teenager he started teaching himself advanced math. He thought that his school education was useless. In 1896 he entered the Switzerland Federal Polytechnic School in Zurich to get trained as a mathematics and physics teacher. He got his diploma in 1901!
Inside Albert's Personal Life
He was unable to find a teaching position so he accepted the position as a technical assistant in the Swiss Patent Office. There he met Mileva Maric . He had his first child with her, but they decided it was best to give their first child away . He later had two more children with her. They later divorced and he married his cousin Elsa.
Later Education
Finally in 1905 Albert got his doctor's degree in physics from the University of Zurich.
The Big News
Albert finally published his first paper in the newspaper about relativity in 1916.
Nobel Prize Winner
The Nobel Prize in phsics was awarded to Albert in 1921 for the law of photoelectric effect and for his services in theoretical physics !
London Medal
He also got the Copley Medal of the Royal Society Of London in 1925.
The Franklin Medal
He won the Franklin Medal of The Franklin Institute in 1935.
Albert Coming To The United States
Albert Einstein stayed in Berlin until 1933. He emigrated to the United States where he took the position as Professor of Theoretical Physics at Princeton. He became a United States citizen in 1940 and retired from his position in 1945!
Ending
Albert dies on April 28, 1955 at the age of 76 of heart failure .
