Happy Memorial Day!
May 19, 2016
As a reminder, LHS will be closed to students on Friday, May 27th and Monday, May 30th in observance of Memorial Day weekend. While you are enjoying a long weekend with your families, friends, and barbecues, remember that this holiday is a reminder for us to show appreciation for all those sacrificing to keep our country safe, and to honor all those who have served in our armed forces!

LHS Teacher Honored
Debbie Randall, a long standing science teacher at LHS (28 years), recently received a letter of recognition, certificate, and monetary donation from The Society of Chemical Industry (SCI) for being an outstanding teacher who motivates student interest in science.
Ms. Randall was nominated to receive this award by a former student, who is a college scholar student in the field of Chemistry or Chemical Engineering that received a summer internship at a SCI facility. Congratulations on this wonderful honor!
