USD 231 continues to monitor COVID-19 data in order to provide the safest learning environment possible. As a reminder, on November 16, 2021, the Board of Education adopted the following motion:

If the percentage of recommended quarantines and isolation is greater than 4%, barrier face masks will be required as they are in other USD 231 buildings for at least 2 weeks. If this occurs, masking will become optional when the percentage of recommended quarantines and isolations is less than 2% for 2 consecutive weeks.”

Upon review of this week’s PRMS’ attendance data, 5.97% of our 7th and 8th graders are either positive or on exclusion. As a result, 7th & 8th grade students will return to masking for a minimum of 2 weeks beginning Tuesday, January 18, 2022.

Over the next two weeks, I encourage families and students to be vigilant about hand washing, proper masking. and staying home if COVID-19 symptoms are present. We plan to return to “mask optional” on Tuesday, February 1, 2022, unless our numbers for the previous two weeks remain above 2%.

Thank you for your continued support.

Message from First Student Bus Services

Depending on daily staffing levels, FS may have to adjust some school bus routes. While this allows us to provide transportation to as many students as possible, it could result in delays in pick-up and drop-off times for school and activity trips. Some students also may be temporarily assigned a different bus to ride.

FS will provide notification about any route changes to your child’s bus as soon as possible, so families can plan accordingly.

Thank you for your patience and understanding
