A Message from Supt. Hagenbuch
We are presently reviewing our hybrid and remote programs . Our goal is to improve remote instruction and increase the number of days of in-person instruction for students. We are asking for parent feedback as we work to improve what we do for our students.
Below is a link to a parent survey which asks for your thoughts on our present program and changes that we are considering in order to be able to bring more students back for in-person instruction. We hope you will take the time to give us your valuable insight on what is best for your daughter/son.
This survey asks for your thoughts on the present hybrid and remote programs we are offering your daughter/son. It also asks for your feedback on some of the changes we would need to make in order to bring more students back for in-person instruction.
We are asking parents to complete a separate survey for each student in grades K-12 as needs of students and parents often vary based on age and grade level of students. We will use the information provided to us by our parents, students and teachers to determine how best to proceed with a plan for the remainder of the 2020-21 school year. Our goal will be to have that plan developed in early February. We will them share plan with parents including timeline for any changes.
A Message from Mr. Anderson
There are many celebrations and important pieces of information in this Smore, but the absolute most important is the parent survey (Button link above this message). We want to get every single parent to complete this survey as we plan for the remainder of the school year. Our goal is to increase the level of engagement in school through increased instructional contact digitally and ultimately to bring more students back in school physically. To make plans for this we need every single parent/guardian to provide the District feedback in what we can do!
There are many positive things happening regarding our response to COVID-19; vaccines are starting to be rolled out and our safety procedures continue to hold firm in allowing our school to stay open and continue to educate students in-person. We are hopeful that as more people start recieving vaccine that we may have more options in what we can do to educate our children. Be Strong, Hold Together, We Are One!

School Counselor's Corner - Mrs. Sears
Hello My Panthers,
As a new year begins, I like to take a moment with myself and my family to reflect on the previous year. Usually this is something that is quickly done since I have a 6 year old and 3 year old. At the beginning of this year, I was reading an article called 5 simple steps for setting intentions for yourself and your family. I absolutely loved it and it had a simple sheet that you could fill out to have it as a record of what your intentions are going to be moving throughout the year. I wanted to share the article and the worksheet for your use with your family too.

A huge thank you to Ms. Sweet for being our Guest announcer last week! She was too modest for a picture, but I love the note card she gave us!
School Info App - Communicating with your child's teacher(s)
How to Get messages from your child's teachers: One important way to get messages from your child's teacher and to make sure that you are getting updates from the school is to go to "My Alerts". Once in "my alerts" make sure that "Enable Push Notifications" is turned on and that all of the buttons are turned "on".
Next... look at the bottom of the screen, you will see the picture of a bell next two an icon of two people. Click on the icon of the 2 people. This will then bring up teachers names along with icons to turn on notifications. Search out your child's teacher(s) and turn on those notifications.
If you would like to send your child a message, go back to the main screen and click "conversations" this then works just like text messaging on your smart phone. Make sure to put a title to the message so you know who you are sending it to when you go back to the app.
New Things!
- The student absence and Tech Help Forms are now in a button on the first page of the app! Just click and you can fill everything out on your smartphone!
A word of advice - Always check and make sure when you are in the app that you are in the correct school. Make sure that it is the Campbell Savona Elementary school:)
