Matthew 25:1-13

In this weekend’s gospel we are called to stay awake and be ready for the day we are going to go to meet Jesus. It teaches us that we must be prepared, because we don't know exactly when that time is coming. Do you know what we must do to be prepared? We must invite Jesus to come into our hearts. When we do that, we are ready!

Nutrition Program is Back ....

Holy Redeemer staff and students would like to Welcome back Mrs Aimee Fontaine as our cafeteria assistant who will be putting together our nutrition program after we return from fall break. This is Aimee's third year with the Holy Redeemer family running the government funded nutrition program from the EICS Wellness grant.

Welcome Back Aimee !

Hello Holy Redeemer families,

I’m very excited to be back coordinating the nutrition program again this year. It will look a little different than last year as the kids will be eating in their classrooms and not in the cafeteria with compostable containers. Also at this time we will not be offering one hot breakfast a week due to COVID guidelines and no parent volunteers. I’m confident we can get creative and the kids will still have great options to choose from. There will be a monthly menu plan in the Raiders Weekly for all to see.

Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions or concerns at aimee.fontaine@eics.ab.ca

Colder Weather

As the days get shorter, the snow begins to fall and the temperatures drop, here's a friendly reminder to make sure your child has the appropriate clothing for outdoors. Students will be required to go outside for recess until the temperature reaches an outside temperature of -25C (this includes the wind chill). Students should have a warm coat and boots, as well as gloves/mitts, toques and snow pants.

Wellness Wednesdays

Academics are a key component of school, but the student experience isn’t solely defined by their education. The wellness team at Holy Redeemer believes that school is about the friends you’ll make, the moments you’ll experience, and the passions you’ll discover.

This year we will be hosting Wellness Wednesdays! This will be an activity, challenge, spirit day, fundraiser etc. At Holy Redeemer we want to build connections. Student connections with their peers, teachers, school, and community. Wellness Wednesdays will also be a support for mental health and will be designed to promote a balanced lifestyle beyond the academic.
