Wow! What a week!
Since we have all seen some sad images over the last week as our area dealt with the results of the storm, I thought I would send you some images to make you smile. These images are from the previous week of school.
Milk Day Project
Our students made these delightful cows as part of the World Milk Day celebrations as school. They were proudly displayed in the cafeteria serving area for all the school to see with credit being given to our students.
Here we are again in the middle of the school waiting to watch the students parade in their costumes. The kids loved hearing the song we have been working on played over and over again. I was so proud of how they waiting patiently for the parade to begin and pass by. Awesome job!
In our animal unit we have been learning about animals and their habitats. We read a book about owl babies and created our own special owl. The students had to cut out a beak for their owl and got to touch and feel the texture of a pine cone. Some were more excited than others, as you can imagine. Unfortunately, two flew away before they could be photographed.
Milk Day Project
Thank you to everyone who said they would help with our themed basket for the school auction. We have submitted our theme as "T Time." We will be collecting items or your monetary donation in the next week or two. We are planning on putting golfing and tea making items in the basket so that it appeals to more people.
It is a great time to remind you all of the wonderful thinks our PTO does for us. At the beginning of the year we were given $100 for the class to use on whatever we needed. We are also able to ask for assistance with trips and additional equipment should we need it. I encourage everyone to participate in as many PTO events as you can this year to show that we support them as much as they support us.
