Viking News - The Week of 10/24/2022

Happy Friday, RHS Students!
Things continue to be busy throughout the halls, stages, fields and classrooms of RHS. Watching you as you flourish in the varying arenas is amongst the many privileges I have within my role as your principal. A few highlights this week include obtaining a sample of my DNA with our visitors from Gloucester BioTech Academy (GMGI), watching Peer Leaders facilitate games at our Assembly & lunches, and seeing students in grades 4-12 up on stage for our Annual Choral Festival. The music summits are some of my favorite events of the year as we see first hand the progression and growth of our students from elementary, to middle and then high school. It is a proud moment for our district and something that is unique of the small town experience. Well done to all involved!
If you have not yet gone in and filled out the School Culture Survey sent to you at last week's Assembly block, please take a few minutes to fill it out. We will use the data to directly drive future conversations with students, staff and families as we continually seek to provide the highest quality experience for all students in our care.
Tomorrow, Saturday, October 22nd, we will honor the senior soccer players at the annual Senior Ceremony taking place on the Ryan-Curley field around 10:45 am. Please come out in support of our seniors!
Go Vikings!

Traffic Safety Request
In order to alleviate congestion and assure a safe environment for students and families, we are asking drivers to take caution and be aware of their speed, and attention to pedestrians; most especially during the busy times of drop-off and pick-up. We understand this can be a hectic time and we ask that drivers proceed with caution and care for the safety of all involved. The Rockport Police Department will be present to help monitor the flow of traffic. We appreciate your cooperation and patience in making this daily duty a little more pleasant for all involved.
