Important News from our Office of School Counseling
Attention any student interested in participating in the College Credit Plus Program (CCP) for the 2020-2021 school year:
College Credit Plus is Ohio’s dual enrollment program that provides students in grades 7-12 the opportunity to earn college and high school credits at the same time by taking courses from Ohio colleges or universities.
Loveland High School counselors will be hosting a CCP information night on January 22, 2020 at 6:30 in the LHS Auditorium. During this information session there will be a basic overview provided and many local universities will have a representative in attendance to answer questions . It is strongly encouraged both the student and a parent/guardian attend this event if considering CCP for the 2020-2021 school year.
Please be aware that some universities may require an ACT/SAT test score while others may require a placement test to participate in their CCP program. For universities requiring the ACT/SAT test, it is recommended that the test be taken before March in order to meet university application deadlines. There is an ACT test on February 8th and the deadline to register for that test is January 10, 2020. Please visit act.org to register.
Juniors ONLY: Juniors will take the ACT at LHS on February 25, 2020 as part of the state testing requirements. There is no fee and registration will take place at LHS. The score from this test may be used for CCP application purposes.
Questions, contact your school counselor.

LHS Collecting Toys for Toy Drive
The Christmas Toy Store program was created over 20 years ago to help families who could not afford to spend much on toys and gifts. Approximately 250+ children from underserved families in the Loveland area receive gifts via our Toy Store. Each family will pre-register and financially qualify to participate in this program. They are then offered the opportunity to shop for 7-10 gifts per child in their family, based on the number of donations received. Parents/Grandparents come into a store setting (set up by volunteers) with tables marked by price to purchase items for $0.50 to $5 per gift.
This year, our Senior Service Interns, with the help of TPA (Teacher Professional Academy) are having an advisory competition across all grade levels. Students can take a gift tag, or read off the list of accepted items and purchase items for the drive. New and unwrapped toys can be brought to school and given to your child's advisory teacher. For a list of accepted donations, please click here.
