The Congolese Community of Arizona in collaboration with Forks For Change and Under Somali Skies United presents: Through The Eyes of a Stranger--spoken words by a series of virtuous and inspirational leaders that are to be heard by visionaries of all ages. The event will be filled with personal and tragic stories of selected refugees, motivational appearances from outstanding professors, and cultural dance/music performances. The importance of this event is to spread awareness of the refugee settlement/conditions in America, and of the ongoing struggles that these refugees have experienced in their homelands. You will learn how the lives of refugees in America are linked to the lives of people like you and me.
You will leave this event with the knowledge and inspiration needed to initiate change in this world.
Food and refreshments will be provided.
