2. The GREEN SCREEN Calendar is now available via our calendar link!!!
3. Community DAY on Wednesday the 29th! Just a reminder that at your PLC, this is time to look at student work, data and best practices. What do we want our students to learn? How do we know they have learned it? What do we do if they haven't? What do we do if they have? Think about your formative assessments right now. What patterns are you seeing? What do our students still need before they leave us? You have lots to discuss!

PBIS Intervention: SEAT SIGNALS
Seat Signals This technique from Doug Lemov allows students to attend to necessary business without distracting the entire classroom or interfering with learning. Here are the steps to trying Seat Signals in the classroom: 1. Decide what signals you need to have in place. *see chart below for suggestions 2. Teach your Seat Signals to the whole class and practice them in unison. 3. Teach students how to interpret your signaled responses (i.e. "In 3 minutes", "After the person ahead of you has returned", etc. 4. Post the signals. 5. Accept no substitutes. "I need... to use the bathroom." a new pencil." a tissue." to get out of my seat." (for example, to get something that dropped on the floor, throw something away, etc.) From: Lemov, Doug. Teach Like A Champion.
