It was such a fun and SWEET week! We started the week by celebrating Dr. Seuss' birthday with green eggs and jam and ended our week making yummy hamentaschen, dressing up in costumes for the Purim carnival, and having the second grade bake sale!!! Thank you so much to Miriam Haviv and Simone Levingston for making the hamentaschen dough and to Miriam Haviv, Mari Rudolph, and Riley Kasmen for volunteering! Happy Purim! Have a fantastic weekend!

What Did We Learn This Week?
Language Arts
We kicked off our week with Dr. Seuss's birthday on Monday! Most of the kids LOVED eating green eggs and jam! Some even had seconds!! We also had fun writing our own version of a class book called Green Eggs and Jam. In grammar we learned how to use the verb do, does, and did. We also took our 3rd CARS reading test and began a new vocabulary unit. The test will be next Tuesday. This week some of us we were busy editing and beginning to write the final draft of our present life!!
Math
HEBREW
Dear 2nd grade parents,
We concluded the Purim unite with a great Purim carnival and work in our holiday booklet.
In our ARIOT book, we covered the letters ט (TET) and שׂ (SIN).
Our verbs were:
מְשַׂחֲקִים- playing (MESACHAKEEM)
שְׂמֵחִים- happy (SMECHEEM)
We read the related story and continued to work on reading fluency.
Shabbat shalom and Happy Purim!,
Galia Sabbag
