Ms. Harris' Weekly Update
May 13th-17th
What's Going On This Week:
- Ms. Harris' Social Studies: This week we will continue our unit on Government in Social Studies. We will look at the three branches of government, as well as famous Founding Fathers. There will be a short quiz on the 3 branches of government on Friday.
- Mrs. Thurston/Leonard/Uhlenhakes' Math and ELA: In math this week we will review everything from the year by doing a spiral breakout. Please encourage your children to practice their multiplication facts and math notes nightly. We will also continue our opinion writing unit and finish F&P testing.
- Ms. Harris' GT Math and ELA: This week in math we will begin our review for our End of the Year test. Students should be utilizing Reflex and IXL.com at home to help with their review. In ELA we will practice TDAs to prepare for Wednesday's writing test. We will also finish our poetry unit, opinion writing, and read the next section of our novels. The second section of our novels are due Friday. Students have been reminded to respond in their notebooks and make sure their answers are in complete sentences.
Wednesday is SCREADY 4th grade Writing Test
Science Extra Credit
THANKS!
A big thank you to everyone who signed up for snacks and drinks for testing days. It's such a nice and simple way to celebrate the students' hard work. Here is a reminder of who signed up for the next 3 days of testing snacks. THANKS AGAIN!
Returning Student Registration 2019-20:
Online student registration for the 2019-2020 academic year opened May 3 at 9 a.m. through Registration Gateway to currently enrolled Pre-K through 11th graders for the 2019/20 school year. Registration information is used by the district for planning purposes. Please follow the steps below to register your student as soon as possible.
If you recently enrolled your child in March at the kindergarten screening for the 2019/20 school year, registration is not necessary since your child is already registered for the next school year.
Please note that you should have received an email regarding student registration. This email is student specific, which means parents with multiple children will receive an email for each child with account information and registration instructions.
