Teachers: 2017-2018 Student Recommendations -- Deadline Today
Please follow these directions to recommend your 1st and 2nd semester students for next year's classes.
1. Go into Grade book>Click on the Waffle in the upper right hand corner of the screen> Campus Instruction> on the left hand margin - Click on Student Course Recommendation
2. Select the class from the drop down at the top (complete for all 1st and 2nd semester classes)
3. In the "Recommended Courses" column, click on the blank space - then all courses for the content will appear. Select the appropriate class for the student for next year. ie - 9th grade lit this year; recommend world lit for next year.
NOTE - there are numerous codes for each course. At this time, assign student to the one semester block course unless the course is currently being offered as a 2 semester A, B course (AP Econ, AP Human, etc.)
One semester block course codes end with zero (0) ie 1 semester Lit 9 - 23.0610000
2 semester A, B courses end in 1 and 2 respectively ie 1st semester Lit 9 A - 23.0610001; 2nd semester Lit 9 B - 23.0610002
Many courses have a letter at the end (G, E, S, C) ie Lit 9 co-taught 23.0610000C
Only special ed teachers, working in co-taught situations will use a code with "C" at the end for students on co-taught rosters.
Besides special ed teachers, DO NOT recommend any courses with letters at the end.
If you are unable to find the next course please email me and I will get it on the list.
Contact your department chair if you have questions regarding course sequencing.
Deadline - before you leave Monday, 1/30/17

Free SAT/ACT Practice
Kaplan has just launched a program called Practice with a Purpose. We've partnered with the Boys & Girls Clubs of America, and we're aiming for a goal of 100 scholarships donated, which is a value of up to $125,000.
By visiting our free online practice resource hub, students can take a free pop quiz, 20-minute workout, and a full proctored practice test to help prepare for upcoming SAT or ACT exams. Students can sign up and take all three if they'd like, and for each test or quiz a student signs up for, we're donating a Kaplan Test Prep scholarship to a student in need.
