Dino-Mite Family Night

We had a blast on January 29 for Dino-mite Family Night! The Book Fair was packed, and we loved seeing all of our students come to enjoy pizza and games with our staff and their families. We hope all our families enjoyed this night of learning and fun!

100th Day of School

We celebrated the 100th day of school in so many ways! The creative 100-item displays and "100-year old students" made us smile all day long! We were so excited to win the contest sponsored by Sign Gypsies - Brenham Area, and our students and staff had a wonderful time taking pictures with the colorful sign in the front of the school! Thank you to everyone who checked into our Facebook page and voted so that our school could win this fun challenge! We are so blessed to have spent the last 100 days with your students and look forward to the remainder of the semester!

Vest VIPs for January

All students at Brenham Elementary have the opportunity to be a Vest VIP, and students are nominated for this award because they go above and beyond our school expectations exhibiting leadership, kindness, and extraordinary character! Each week, 10 names are drawn from those nominated to receive a special award and have their picture taken with Mrs. Vest to hang in the hallway.

BESt Boys

On January 23, 2019 Brenham Elementary School started a “BESt Boys Club” (Boys Exhibiting Superior Traits, a teacher-nominated group of our fourth grade boys who are looking to develop great behavioral traits and leadership skills. This group is sponsored by Mr. Steven Siemsglusz and Mr. Terrance Phillips. They are leading the boys in a variety of fun and educational activities each Wednesday which will promote methods for keeping our kids engaged in learning and growing as young men.

We have been so thankful for the generous donations of jackets, pants, coats, ties, and monetary donations to support this program. We are still in need of a few suit coats to help the boys exemplify the club motto, “Look good, Feel good, Do good.” If anyone has any they would be willing to donate, we would greatly appreciate your support. Please feel free to contact the front desk at 979-277-3880.

Core Essential Value for February 2019

Last month we talked about SELF-CONTROL, and this month we will learn about SERVICE! Service means lending a hand to help someone else.

There is a family newsletter in English and Spanish and a coloring sheet about service at the end of this newsletter for families to enjoy and we encourage all our students to take this kindness challenge this month and be in service to others!

Wall of Love

Thank you to everyone who has sent in the heartwarming notes for your students that are now displayed beautifully on our wall. If you have not had a chance to get your heart turned in, it is not too late! We would be happy to add it to our wall.
