PK 4.3 - Weekly Newsletter
Dear families,
The beginning of the school year is an exciting time!
Whether children are new to preschool or not, expect that many will experience strong emotions- fear, anxiety, extreme excitement, sadness or frustration.
Our role is to support them as they say good-bye to their families, become familiar with the classroom and school routines, and learn to find comfort in being a member of the classroom community while maintaining a secure connection to home.
During these few days we had a chance to get to know our friends, interest areas, specialist teachers and school. It has been a week full of many opportunities to explore our classroom and learn to use our materials appropriately.
Ms. Nilena and I are very excited to start blossoming creativity and interest in our student's minds! We look forward to the upcoming weeks and to spend more time building positive relationships with them.

A Day in the Life of The Creative Curriculum
Circle Time
The magic behind these first weeks relies on establishing structure for the year to come. With routines we help children be safe and prepare them for new challenges; promoting self-control and audacity.
In our mornings we start by singing our "Good morning Song", include our rhyme and movement activities and then talk about what our day will be like. We also do large group discussions and share our thought and feelings.
Have you ever lost something?
