HFRCS Newsletter SY 2022-2023
November 15, 2022 - Vol.2 Issue 12
From the Principal's Office
Dear Parents and Guardians,
November is a time to reflect on all the blessings God has given us. We are all very fortunate in so many ways! Our Thanksgiving Food Drive is one of the many ways our school family gives back to our parish and local communities. The food drive began on November 4 with our Living Saints Museum, and will continue through Monday, November 21. We are looking to provide a minimum of 40 turkey dinners! We are not close at this point and really need your help! Please see the listing in this email about what each class is collecting. We are also able to accept donations of frozen turkeys. While we cannot accept grocery story free turkey certificates, if you are able to redeem the certificate and bring the turkey to school on Monday, November 21, we would be happy to take the donation. To ensure proper and safe food handling, please only bring the turkey to school on Monday or Tuesday morning. Please do not bring the turkey ahead of time as we do not have a place to properly store it. If you would like to donate cash/gift cards toward the purchase of turkeys, please turn in your cash/gift cards by Friday, November 18. All other donations should be in by Monday, November 21. Thank you in advance for your kindness and generosity.
Tuesday, November 22, our Student Council is sponsoring a $1 dress-down day. Students are permitted to wear their favorite football team shirt or jersey OR any brown shirt. Tuesday morning at 9:30 AM, we will have our Turkey Bowl! Our faculty will try to hold on to their 2-0 record as they take on the 8th grade in a game of flag football. Parents and guests are welcome to come and watch the excitement! Who will take home the Turkey Bowl trophy this year?
On Wednesday, November 23, our school students will participate in a Thanksgiving Prayer Service at 9:30 AM in the church. We will also have an 11:30 AM dismissal that day (11:00 AM for our PK classrooms). All buses will provide transportation going home except for the Neshaminy 84 bus and the Bensalem bus. Parents of students riding those buses will need to provide transportation home that day. There is no after-school CARES on Wednesday, November 23.
Sincerely Yours in Christ,
Mrs. Haggerty

Remember to go to Mass this weekend!
