The 7th Grade Skinny
January 25th
Quote of the Week!
It's working! It's really working!
That time you ask your 7th grader when you should expect the first semester report card and they give their usual response: "I don't know."
For your information, skill grades are based on a 1-5 scale as follows:
5 - Consistently exceeds expectations
4 - Often exceeds expectations
3 - Meets expectations
2 - Inconsistent with expectations
1 - Needs additional support
Parents, please keep in mind that this is a new year of growth for your child, and along with that come new expectations. A "3" is commonly given, as your child is meeting the expectations of a seventh grader at this time. Your support for your child is an important factor in his or her growth mindset and confidence.
