Music to My Ears: The Tuning Process
Science: Weather and Climate
5th grade science consists primarily of topics from earth science. We have an exciting program that strives to actively engage students, using inquiry and exploration to delve into curriculum. We are studying the properties and composition of the atmosphere. The pictures show students investigating the effects of air pressure. When we reduced the air pressure inside the can, the outside pressure is adequate to crush the can, much to the student’s delight! Our next project will be designing and building hot air balloons. Please feel free to ask your child to explain science concepts to you and also have a peek into their journals when they bring them home.
