Why the HBC Needs the Spinal Cord

By: Jonny, Jake, Angelo, and Arlind

My Departments Job

We send eletrical impulses (messages) to the muscle & bone departments. If our deparment got layed off then the other deparment would suffer. We are in link with most of the other departments in one way or another. We relay messages from the brain to the other deparments. The company would not be able to communticate without us.

Facts about the Spinal Cord

Spinal cord1. Spinal cord is a bundle of nerves running down the middle of the backbone2.It is 45cm or 18 in in men and 43cm or 17in in women 3.The brain and the spinal cord together make up the central nervous system 4. The spinal cord is supplied with blood by 3 arteries that run along its length starting in the brain, and many arteries that approach it through the spinal column 5. The spinal cord works independently of the brain, sending out responses to the muscles directly.

Nervous System Facts

Nervous system contains two parts – central and peripheral in most animals2.There are millions of nerve cells in human body3.Neurons send signals to other cells as electrochemical waves4.The basic function of the nervous system is to send signals from one cells to other, or from one part of the body to others5.There are millions of nerve cells in human body

The Effects on the Company if we are Layed Off

The muscular system would not be able to funtion correctly and would develop atrophy, the bone department would not funtion corrrectly either because they would lose calcium, because of not enough movement. I suggest you lay off one of the kidneys because the company would be able funtion just fine without it.
