As a reminder:
If you would like to bring a treat for your child's birthday, we ask that you plan on doing so during our recess time (1:00pm). If that is not a convenient time for your then please check with your child's teacher to make other arrangements. This helps us to know if we need to change our schedule for the day or if we have other school activities going on, we can also adjust our plans for the day accordingly. Thank you so much for your cooperation.

We are super excited that this week everyone has worked really hard to meet their weekly AR goal. 2nd graders rock!!!!! Keep up the good work and we will reach our glass AR goal in no time.
Chapel: Students may bring their bibles on Wednesdays for Chapel. Coach Herr does a sword drill with them during Chapel. Our Chapel time has changed to 8:50 am.
Warrior Fest T-shirts: orders are Due Friday January 23

A few reminders:
*If you have box tops, please send them to your student's classroom teacher
* Please check your student's Warrior Binder nightly.
* Homework: students will have a math homework page, math facts, spelling homework (orally spell words/or write them on paper if needed) and reading homework on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays only.
If your student is bringing home anything else, please know that it is unfinished classwork which means they are not using their time wisely.
We would like for you to help us stress the importance of completing their seat work in the allowed amount of time.
Chaperones:
If you are planning on chaperoning for any field trip, please make sure that the office has your information on the Legacy approved chaperone list. For safety reasons you must be on this list
We want to thank each of you for trusting your student's education to us and Legacy. We consider it an honor and a privilege to teach your children.
Missions opportunities:
Care Packages for Cops: We are collecting things like chap stick; cookies; sunflower seeds; coffee; coffee cups; Thank cards from the kids
2nd Grade Classroom Libraries: pennies for paperbacks or ordering books for your kiddos online through Scholastic with our class code earns our classrooms points to buy books.
Keep saving box tops please
Our box top contest will begin January 13th and end Tuesday February 14th.
So far LCA elementary students has raised $1400 for our school!
We want to beat 3rd grade this time around, so please start sending those box tops in to your teacher.
