Notes and News

Dear SHGS Families,

I pray this newsletter finds you and your family well. I hope each of you had a wonderful Mother’s Day weekend.

We will have no remote instruction on Friday, May 15th. This is a give back day for April 8th when we were in session on a previously scheduled day off.

As you know, our school building will remain closed and we will continue remote learning through June. If you need to borrow a Chromebook for your SHGS child, please email me at to arrange a pickup at school.

Please join us in honoring our graduate class with daily Twitter Spotlights. You may access our Twitter feed via the bottom of this Newsletter or via our school website.

We are planning Wacky Wednesdays in May, please encourage your child/family to participate (see the schedule below). Please be sure to send us your photos.

Thank you for your continued support. We miss your children, our staff, and our school community. Stay safe and stay healthy. Please reach out to me with any questions.

Warm Regards,

Tracy Strub

Re-registration Letter

Dear Sacred Heart Grade School Parents,

I know that all of us have been forever changed by this pandemic. In some cases, that change may be extremely hard to bear. So, once again, I ask that if your family is suffering financially from job loss or shortened work hours and are struggling to meet your household’s needs; if your children cannot access or complete work due to lack of technology in your home; if you are not certain where to turn, please do not hesitate to make those needs known to me. Tuition assistance is available. I may also be able to direct you to other resources available through the Archdiocese.

Each day, as I work through its unique challenges, I am reminded, in a myriad of ways, of the sacrifices you are making to provide a Catholic education for your children. I am so grateful to you and to our students for the energy, faithfulness, determination, and love that you are bringing.

None of this would be possible without you. I hear daily from our teachers; “This school is our family!” It is your spirit that makes this statement true; your partnership that makes our school a community.

As we adjust our plans to meet the new educational needs of our schools and students, it is more critical than ever that we know for which students we are planning. If you have not already done so, please register your children for the upcoming 2020-21 school year. Take advantage of our registration incentive rate, which allows you to save $100 on the registration fee for each child if you complete your registration by May 31st.

For those that have already registered for next year, I thank you for your commitment to Catholic education and to Sacred Heart Grade School. Your registration signals your continuing commitment to our school community and to Catholic education.

In these difficult days, I have been more heartened than I can say by your actions, your spirit, your commitment, and your partnership. In all of it, I see the tremendous love you have for your children. Know that we love them, too. I thank you again for the gift of partnering with you in shaping their future.
