Jeans for Troops Day-November 6th
On November 6th, we will be participating in the GI Go Funds, nationwide Jeans for Troops dress down day. Teachers, staff, and students who donate $5 or more to GI Go Fund, can wear their favorite pair of jeans to school on November 6th. This small donation will help provide supportive services to military veterans, including housing for homeless veterans, job placement for unemployed veterans, and healthcare assistance to disabled veterans. We encourage all who've donated to wear a patriotic shirt with their jeans that day.
Please join our team to make your donation by visiting https://gigo.org/teams/franklin-academy-palm-beach-gardens/index.html

Weekly iReady Requirements
As our returning families know, our school has been using the iReady software for student support and reinforcement for the last three years. We have seen HUGE growth in the grade levels and students that have worked in the software with consistency and fidelity. To help us ensure all students and families do this this year, we have put the following school-wide requirements in place:
- K-1 grade students: Successfully pass at least one reading and one math iReady lesson each week.
- 2-8 grade students: Successfully pass at least two reading and two math iReady lessons each week.
- Additional lessons may be required for students in intensive reading and/or math courses.
iReady is still recommended for a minimum of 45 minutes each in reading and math every week, but the required passed lessons outlined above with make sure that student iReady time is productive and not just a running clock. Please email Curriculum Specialist, Ms. Katie Young, if you have any questions or concerns regarding iReady.
As a reminder, iReady can ONLY be access through Clever. See the flyer below for information about Clever.
