Pocahontas's felling's for John Rolfe the guy she married were unknown. Their marriage was not successful in winning the English colonists back, but it did create a climate of peace between the Jamestown colonists and Powhantan's tribe's for several years. Also the marriage made peace with the Jamestown colonists and Powhantan's tribe's. When Pocahontas saved John Smith it made a big impact because, John Smith was the greatest president of Jamestown, and he was the only one that would care for them, and they never wanted him to leave. This is about all of the peace our wonderful and amazing leader Pocahontas! Before long, Powhatan's hope's were dashed. During the "starving time" colonists took to raiding Native American food supplies. In retaliation Powhatan ordered an attack. Finally, in 1614 Powhatan accepted peace with the English. His daughter, Pocahontas, after being kidnapped and ransomed, was married to John Rolfe and taken to England. I loved learning about the peace with Pocahontas, but my favorite detail is next so i suggest keep on reading.

One night, Pocahontas overheard her father say to his Powhatan tribe that they were going to plan a attack on the English colonist. She saved John Smith by rapping her arms around his head and exclaining " If you want to kill him you have to kill me first". I love how she made an end to her father killing John Smith.
