August 10-11 - 2015-16 Year 1 Fusion Training: Establish the Course Y1
August 12 - 2015-16 Year 2 Fusion Training: Establish the Course Y2, Strategy Integration
As you are discussing scheduling for next year, and are determining which teachers may be teaching Year 1 or Year 2 of Fusion, please make sure everyone is aware of these dates so that anyone in your department that needs training can be in attendance.
Face-to-face PD is the most effective way to become proficient in the skills you need to start Fusion Reading with a bang on the first day of school, so getting these dates solidified on the calendar early is important. Establish the Course, which includes Thinking Reading and the Vocabulary Process is covered during Year 1 PD and Year 2 PD includes Establish the Course Year 2 and Strategy Integration.
This is the only time these strategies will be offered through face to face PD during the 2015-2016 school year. The additional PD dates that take place throughout the school year will address the other strategies covered throughout the Fusion Reading course.
Additional information will be communicated regarding location of the PD days.
