We have a Commended Student in the National Merit Scholarship program!
Senior Tom C. Wheeler has been recognized by the National Merit Scholarship Corporation (NMSC) as a Commended Student in the 2023 National Merit Scholarship Program.
Commended Students are being recognized for the exceptional academic promise demonstrated by their outstanding performance on the qualifying test used for program entry, the PSAT.
Students entered the National Merit Scholarship Program, a nationwide competition for recognition and awards conducted by National Merit Scholarship Corporation, by taking the 2021 Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test.
34,000 of those students are recognized as Commended Students. While Commended Students do not continue in the Merit Scholarship competition, their achievement is nonetheless impressive.
We are very proud of you, Tom!
