Week 5
Kids Who Need a Little Help Making Friends
Learning how to form successful peer relationships is a critical skill for kids, and one that they will be using—and refining—all their lives.
Helping Kids Communicate With One Another
Children have a lot to say and don’t always pick up on the nonverbal cues of others. It can take years for kids to understand that they have to both listen and talk. Learn how you can practice at home by clicking here.
Think Before You Speak
To be honest, it can be hysterical to hear a child say something they shouldn’t. But when they say something that hurts someone else’s feelings, it may be time to explain the old “think before you speak.”
In this lesson, we’ll focus on modeling what we should think only in our heads and what we should actually say out loud. Click below to learn more.

Monkey Spoon
After watching the video, ask your child, “Wow. Do you ever get stuck on an idea or issue? Can you come up with an example of when you might have gotten stuck?” Ask them to sketch it. Ask them to include thought bubbles and label how they have been feeling.
