Principal's Message
Hello AMS family! I hope you all have had a relaxing and fun-filled summer. With the new school year approaching, I would like to introduce myself and share some important information for the 2022-2023 school year. My name is Emily Harris, and I have the honor of being your principal. My husband and I are from Decatur; we are proud graduates of Decatur City Schools! Our older daughter, Katherine, is a 9th grader at AJHS, and our younger daughter, Caroline, is a 7th grader at AMS. I look forward to working with our students, faculty, staff, and community as we work to build bridges and reach our goals! I encourage you to reach out to our administration with any questions or concerns!

Schedule Pickup Dates/Times
Students can pick up their 2022-2023 schedules as follows:
August 1, 2022
6th grade 10am-12pm
7th grade 1pm-3pm
NOTE: SNAPCODE ENROLLMENTS MUST BE COMPLETE IN ORDER TO RECEIVE A STUDENT SCHEDULE.
Orientation
Sixth Grade and New Student Orientation will be August 8th at 5:30 in the AMS Auditorium. We look forward to meeting you!
PE Uniforms
We will have PE Uniforms available at Schedule pickup and orientation. Uniforms include an AMS PE shirt and shorts. Uniforms cost $20 EPAY options will be available.
