Titan Staff News
Week of January 9
Titans,
Just as I encouraged you to do so this morning, I would like to reiterate my desire for you to use your voice to tell the true story of Tidwell and public education in Texas. There are so many other examples of how well our schools prepare students for their futures - it's those stories that need to make the news! It would be wise of us to use the influence we have to showcase the learning at Tidwell. I am incredibly proud of the work each of you do on a daily basis for our students! There isn't a way to accurately measure what you all do for kids.
Have a great weekend and enjoy the 'snow'!
Kim

PLC Information
We reconvene our work in PLCs this week. Please draw on our conversations and experiences from our January 2 Professional Development day to drive your conversations. A good way to spend your time Monday may be to take a look at your grade distributions from the 3rd grading period and cross reference it with the semester exam data. We have areas where our students are making A's and B's, but completing failing the semester exam. That is definitely a cause for conversation about what is happening in the classrooms through the framework of the PLC.
Guiding Questions:
What do we want students to learn?
How will we know if they learned it?
What will we do if they don't?
What do we do if they already do?
