Student Report Cards Posted today in Skyward Family Access

Student report cards for second quarter are now posted in Skyward Family Access. We will not be sending home hard copies of report cards, but there is a print option in Family Access if your refrigerator would like a copy! Just as a reminder, there is a link to Family Access on the front page of the Belmont website in the lower left corner. Just to get you headed in the right direction today, click here to go directly to the Family Access Site, or click here for a helpful how-to guidebook for parents. There is really a lot of great information in your Family Access site that is ONLY ACCESSIBLE to YOU! Check it out!

Conference Sign Ups are Ready for YOU!

We LOVE talking about your child's learning! Join us for conferences in just a few weeks. Click here to visit our conference sign up page. You'll be asked to enter basic information and share your time preferences. Conference times are assigned on a first-come, first-served basis with every effort made to schedule families with multiples back-to-back time slots in order to cut down on your travel time. Our goal is 100% participation.

Conference confirmation notes will be coming home with your child by Tuesday, February 2nd. Questions about conference times may be directed to Shelly McCann at or by calling the office at 913-667-1810.

Did you know that food banks run low in January?

Belmont Bulldogs can help! Our PAWS Student Leadership Team is sponsoring a FOOD DRIVE to benefit families served through the De Soto Food Pantry. Our food drive will take place the week of January 11-15th. Below is a list of the Top 10 Needed Items:

#1 Canned Fruit and Applesauce or Canned Veggies (they have enough corn and green beans right now!)

#2 Dried Beans and Rice

#3 Cereal or Pancake Mix & Syrup

#4 Peanut Butter & Jelly

#5 Instant Potatoes or Pasta or Rice Sides

#6 Spaghetti Sauce or Canned Tomato products

#7 Hamburger Helper and other box meals

#8 Tuna or other canned meats

#9 Sugar and Flour for Baking

#10 Personal Care Items (shampoo/conditioner, razors, bar soap, toothpaste, toilet paper, paper towels, laundry soap, dish soap)

If this project fits your family's heart, just send any items to school with your child. Thanks so much for helping us learn about making a difference at Belmont and beyond!

Paraeducator Substitutes Needed

The USD 232 Special Services team is looking for individuals interested in working as a substitute paraeducator.
