This Week in Honors
Week of March 23rd
Recruit the Honors Class of 2019
Phone-A-Thon
Do you have an interest in connecting with future Honors students? Please join the Honors Program and the Admissions Office for an accepted student phone-a-thon. Accepted students find great value in connecting with current students in their intended major or program. This connection can be the deciding factor for them to choose to enroll at Worcester State. Admissions will provide “call sheets” to distribute to student callers. The sheets provide the student's information, a suggested script, and prompt questions to get the conversation going.
Pizza and drinks will be provided.
Students interested in making phone calls to prospective honors students should contact Honors GA Beth Powis, epowis@worcester.edu
Congratulations Day: call for volunteers
Saturday April 11th @ 12:00-1:00pm in the Blue Lounge
An informal reception for prospective honors students and their families. Please come and share your experiences with the Honors Program and WSU. Our current students are our strongest recruiting tool, and we can use as many volunteers as we can get.
Returning volunteers: please note that this is a new informal format in a different room this year.
Please sign up using the online RSVP form .

Play Synopsis:
The Armenian genocide of the early 1900s tore families apart and decimated the Armenian population. Some who survived moved to America. One survivor, Aram, moved to Milwaukee. Desperate to recreate the family he lost, he sends away for a mail order bride. While his bride, Seta, turns out not be the bride he ordered, these two wounded immigrants attempt to move forward and begin their own family.
Worcester State Theatre and the Visual and Performing Arts Department are proud to present this emotional and popular play to commemorate the centenary of the Armenian Genocide. - See more at: http://www.worcester.edu/Exhibits-and-Performances/#sthash.jsgvwoK7.dpuf
